Hair Story | Behind The Signature Hairstyle of Stevina

In this installment of Hairstory, let's say hi to Stevina – or Stevi, a girl with a bunch of activities and one signature curl hairstyle!



A college student, Gadis Sampul Runner-up, and Fashion Week crew. These are only a few things that Stevi, with a v, have done in the past. The 20-year-old girl loves to explore a lot of things and that includes her hair. Let's dive into her hair story, Fuzz!





Thank you! It's called shaggy layers. It's actually similar to wolf cut but longer, so I think we can also call it a soft wolf cut.




Curl cream is a must! I always apply it a lot on my wet hair. Other than that, I usually shampoo 2-3 times a week and just air dry my hair. For styling technique, I always go with finger-coiling in big sections.



That's quite a long story. Before the pandemic, I used to wear my hair straight. I either blow dried my hair or straightened it – I even tried smoothing. During this time, I also tried many hair styles. Long layers, medium hair length, bleaching my hair by myself for a balayage – you name it! In 2021, I cut my curls with this shaggy layer cut and since then it has been my signature style.



Of course it does. Back then I always had the urge to cut or do something to my hair. I think it's a part of my self-discovery journey. Now that I know what looks good on me and feel comfortable with my signature style. I feel more confident than ever. It somehow led me to many opportunities too. Maybe because I feel confident, it radiates to other people as well.




Don't hesitate to explore yourself. Find hairstyles that make you feel most comfortable and once you find what clicks with you, stick with it. Who knows it would lead you to many more things in life?
